Drs. Naesens & De Clercq have been working for years to develop antiviral drugs for HHV-6. In a paper published last year in collaboration with Henri Agut and associates at the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, Naesens reported that two epilepsy drugs in fact have activity against HHV-6B: lamotrigine and valproic acid.
